Despite living close to and woring in Colchester for many years neither of us had visited this site before, we knew exactly where it was and had passed its entrance countless times but never ventured in. We were pleasantly surprised. There are lots of small areas with hardstandings and a large field. The receptionist said we could go anywhere but suggested that with the weather forecast good for our stay we go on the field which was huge and bar one caravan empty, it was agood choice.
The facilities modern and clean with all the necessaries.
There are shops and restaurant/pubs within walking distance.
If there is any downside to this site it is the A12 trunk road that runs alongside which as locals will know is a major route way and is busy virtually 24 hours a day although it wasn’t a problem for us some will find it unbearable.
