This was one of the most pleasant sites we have been to, it was beautifully laid out without roads as such but pathways the main one of which was formed by two rows of paving slabs on which to drive. Given that the campers were constantly driving their cars over the grass it was in extremely good condition. Many of the very large pitches were surrounded on three and a half sides by hedges that gave a feeling of privacy but not of isolation.
There was everything you could need on site which was just a few minutes walk from Rolde town centre a pretty town with more restaurants and eateries than you could shake a stick at a good sized supermarket and a filling station (unattended so card only) with the cheapest fuel we have seen so far.
The toilet facilities were modern and kept spotlessly clean but although loo paper was provided, disappointingly there was no soap or hand drying facilities. Showers were charged extra at €0.50 for a quoted 5/6 minutes but the timer seemed set for longer as it gave more than adequate time for a leisurely shower.
Despite the lack of hadwashing facilities and extra charges for showers this is a site we would be happy to return to.
